Bright Red Ball drops for maximum visibility Perfect for long driveways, rural roads, individuals with gate (walking) difficulties or obscured view of mailbox. Attaches to opening (door) of mailbox and as the mail carrier opens to insert mail, the RED ball drops to Signal Mail has been delivered. Locking mechanism for ball when mailbox is not in use for extended periods of time. USPS Approved (Postmaster General) Device must be placed in specific spot. (Ball must go to the left of the box, per USPS regulations) Fits most plastic (Rubbermaid, etc.) mailboxes that are offset (not flat in the front). TWO VARIATIONS AVAILABLE: OFF SET AND STANDARD: Please observe your existing Mailbox to determine whether you will need OS (offset) or ST (Standard). This depends on your mail box front.
